The 2014 Vauxhall Insignia had its premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Its debut on the market is expected for the October this year.

It will be offered in three different versions (as a 5-door hatch, a 4-door saloon and a sports tourer estate) and eight different trims among which the lower will be Design, and the highest – Elite.

The 2014 Vauxhall Insignia will come out with only few refreshments in its exterior design. It will feature a wider grille made of chrome and new headlights with slightly different shape. Both head and taillights will be supplied with LED lamps. However, there will be an option of bi-xenon headlights in some higher trims. Furthermore, two new colors will be put in its standard color palette which will now include twelve different shades. As for the interior, the 2014 Vauxhall Insignia will undergo some updates as well. Its decor will be refreshed by some new choices of materials. But the biggest change will be easily seen at the central console that will be equipped with an 8-inch screen infotainment display. Also, this mid-sizer will obtain an upgraded leather steering wheel, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.  Other standard equipment will involve a digital radio, climate control, etc.

Engine range for 2014 Vauxhall Insignia

Speaking of the powertrain, the 2014 Vauxhall Insignia will have four different engine options. Two new ones are direct injection 1.6 and 2.0-liter petrol engines. The first one can produce up to 168 hp and 206 lb-ft of torque. The other one will have the ability to produce 247 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. They can be mated either to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. Moreover, there will also be available two 2.0-liter diesel engines that will have the strength of 118 b hp/138 b hp and that are considered to have an improved fuel economy and CO2 emission.

Price of 2014 Vauxhall Insignia

Finally, the most important change about the 2014 Vauxhall Insignia is its lowered price. This new-generation four-wheeler is believed to cost from £16, 279, which is almost £2,000 less in comparison to its predecessor. Nonetheless, its biggest competitors will be Ford Mondeo and VW Passat.
