The 2015 Volvo XC90 is scheduled to have its first appearance in public in September next year at the Paris Motor Show.

Therefore, we can expect it to come out on the market very soon after its premiere. As we can see in the photos available on the internet, this new-generation SUV will bear lots of updates in its design.

The 2015 Volvo XC90 will be constructed on the SPA platform which will make the dimensions of this Swedish bigger, but on the other hand much lighter. It will be built of lightweight but strong materials like boron steel. As we have already mentioned, full-size crossover will undergo some changes from the outside. Its headlights will be embellished with daytime running lamps that will form the shape of the letter T. Also, at the back of the vehicle, there will be placed very distinguishable taillights. Moreover, both front and rear bumper will be restyled. As for the interior, the cabin of this upcoming model will be furnished with three rows of seats where it will be able to accommodate up to seven people. Its dashboard will be dominated by a huge touch screen display that will control its infotainment system. Speaking of the safety, among many usual features there will be three new ones: an advanced autobrake technology, a system for detecting the movement of traffic and a system for monitoring boundaries and obstacles on the road.

Engine range for 2015 Volvo XC90

As far as the powertrain choices, the 2015 Volvo XC90 will be supplied with a supercharged 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol engine that is estimated to generate 302bhp. The other power unit option will be a 1.5L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine. We can also expect a hybrid version of this crossover. Another novelty will be an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Price of 2015 Volvo XC90

The price of the 2015 Volvo XC90 is speculated to start from £40,000. Some of its biggest rivals will be Audi Q7 and BMW X5.
